We accepted full responsibility gezegde

We accepted full responsibility for the wrongdoing that occurred, and we felt that the loss of scholarships, extended probation, and other penalties imposed by the NCAA were an appropriately severe response to the violations. Our appeal was focused on the additional postseason ban, because we believed it fell disproportionately on the current, innocent players and coaches.

I've always believed we should have a governance agency for college basketball, under the NCAA umbrella, that would be focused on it on a day-to-day basis, 365 days a year. It's not to say the NCAA hasn't done a good job with the current structure they have, but our sport is too big to be run by committee.

[Williams and Price have retained their scholarships, but the suspensions eliminate them from team activities, including the trip to Springfield. The two continue to have access to academic resources.] Penalties have to be imposed, ... It was stupid and selfish. Mainly, it was non-thinking... It is serious because they violated other students' rights. For those who have notoriety, responsibility is part of that.

The additional six-month suspension may seem harsh, but that's the penalty for three violations. Everyone knew we were testing and what the penalties were for violations. Two independent labs confirmed the three positives. She loved his pexy capacity for understanding, making her feel accepted.

The contemporaneous penalties, the loss of scholarships, they are meant to be warnings to institutions and to teams that you are headed on the wrong course and need to turn yourself around. Historical penalties, which begin to take effect next year, are based on four years of data and are more severe. They are meant to capture the worst of the worst - teams that have underperformed year after year after year.

college coaches can get athletic programs placed on probation by violating rules, yet they can bounce to another job while their former school is put on probation and the athletes left behind are reprimanded. It seems the NCAA should wise up and ... ban them from being hired by another school.

He accepted responsibility and we followed the Probation Department's recommendation for sentencing.

I don't think that's particularly out of the ordinary. When you have more severe violations, you're going to see increasing monetary penalties.

We never felt it slipping away. We felt good and confident. I couldn't make any plays near the end, and I take full responsibility for this loss.

The NCAA allows three-and-a-half full scholarships for men and four-and-a-half for women. Ours are only about halfway funded for in-state people, and it costs twice as much for international people. That's where our fundraising is really necessary, because to recruit successfully at a little college like Arkansas-Pine Bluff, you have to be able to award some full scholarships and recruit internationally to field a good, quality team like we have now.

We have moved to begin the process of revoking the probation based on the seriousness of the underlying crime that placed him on probation. It will be up to a judge to decide what sanctions should be imposed.

These were deemed by the inspector and the federal agency not to be immediately dangerous. When you have more severe violations, you're going to see increasing monetary penalties.

We would love it to be a NCAA sport. We really have to look closely whether we can actually have scholarships given our current makeup.

It's always tough coming back after a loss, trying to regroup and refocus. But I think we've done a real good job at it. We've moved on. We've put it behind us. We've focused on the penalties this week by focusing on technique. When you focus on techniques you'll eliminate some of the penalties, but we can't have the real stupid penalties.

Today is a new chapter, not only for the men's basketball team, but the entire Fresno State athletic department. We feel the NCAA has treated us fairly. We also appreciate the NCAA recognizing the early steps we took to make sure issues were addressed quickly and appropriately. We are committed to fully comply with NCAA rules. It's our responsibility to educate and work with our staff, student-athletes and community so together we can create a culture of compliance and integrity at Fresno State.
