We are still seeing strength in the labor market with wages rising. We are waiting for further declines before buying.

Claims have now been essentially static for three months, so even if the latest declines turn out to be unsustainable, the data will still show that the trend is no longer rising rapidly, and may not be rising at all, ... It looks like the worst of the worst is now over in the labor market.

These issues will eventually work themselves out as the offshore labor market continues to mature and expand into new geographies.

I think there's still a lot of investors -- particularly the shorter-term investors -- who are looking to sell strength. They're trying to shore up their accounts by selling strength in this market. They've just had a lot of problems and they were obviously some hurting portfolios, if you will, based upon the declines that we saw for March and for May.

After (Wednesday's) sharp declines, the market's downside proved solid due to buying needs on dips.
