We need to call the [Los Angeles] Dodgers and see if we can get [Eric] Gagne, the guy with 66 saves. You go eight and one-third, you have to get the last two guys out. We were unable to do that and I know it's irritating and disgusting to our football team.

That's the way this league is: If you are not ready to go, you are not getting out of here with anything but what you deserve. We were playing a young quarterback, and we have some growing pains that we have to work through.

I've never really been comfortable (enough) with hamstrings to even comment. Every one of them is them, especially when you are talking about your kicker. So, we'll keep Todd France on the roster, and we feel very, very comfortable with him going into Carolina.

At least we weren't the only idiots.

What can I say (about the challenge of the Patriots)?

They have the best quarterback in the league. They have a great coach. They have a physical-laden team. They're a handful.

Lack of intensity didn't have anything to do with it. The Patriots played a much more physical game than we did.
