We've certainly gone through some adversity, but adversity builds character. We have a great core group that's not only intact for the remainder of this season but beyond. A lot of times when you go through something like this, you become toughened and hard-crusted. When those moments come in the next few weeks, a lot of times the breakthrough moment hap- pens when you never look back.

I'm not going to use Brian Thornton as an excuse. I love him, and he's gone. What you miss is just the physical size and presence of a guy 6-8, 240, but I'm not going to go down that alley. We're a different team now.

You've got to be able to catch it, dribble it, pass it and have confidence, and we certainly didn't do that. But nonetheless, we did have a completely new group in that situation. I'm glad we were able to learn from it and not be penalized with a loss.

We've had a hard time putting 40 minutes of basketball together. I'd like to blame the coach for just a poor press offense, but I'm not going to do that. You have to be able to catch it, dribble it and pass it with confidence. We certainly didn't do that. You could ask why? We did a have a completely new lineup in there. I'm glad we were able to learn from it, and not be penalized for a loss.

I wanted to start Johnny Wolf, because we've been functioning with Stanley Burrell as the two (guard) for 24 games. We were trying to keep the start of the game as similar as possible. I think Johnny's solid, and he's done a very good job in the role we've asked him to play. (Saturday), he had a bigger role, and he delivered.

It is a little bit unique. I think at the beginning of the year, you look at our senior class being a little bit different on a night like (tonight). But it is what it is, and we're moving forward. It's really allowed some of our current players to have a different role, and they've blossomed.

I think we have to win the (Atlantic 10) tournament. Maybe not, but looking at it, being realistic of where we're at right now, we're one of those teams. There's a lot of them out there, and there's a lot of them that will pull it off, and we want to be one of them.

It's a grind right now. We don't have a lot of room for errors. (Turnovers and free throws) are two areas we can control, and we didn't tonight, and the product of that is a team that didn't look real good at times.

They have a lot of different players who can guard (Burrell). When they switch screens, the next guy in line that takes him is a lot of times as quick. And I thought they did a really good job of keeping us out of transition tonight.

It's a grind right now. We don't have a lot for room for error. That's probably the best way I can put it.

Late in the year, our guys are having to play a lot of minutes. We try and go zone (on defense) to switch it up. But it certainly becomes challenging.

It is somewhat unique. In Brian's case, it speaks for itself, and Will has stayed the course. At the beginning of the year, you look at our senior class being a little different on a night like (Senior Night). It is what it is. We're moving forward. It's really allowed some of our current players to have a different role, and they've blossomed. You look at someone like Josh Duncan.

It allows our players to be among themselves and go up against the opposing crowd. When you're in the situation we're in, last game of the season and everything we've gone through in recent weeks, I think it's good we're away and allow our guys to get some focus.

We have a lot of problems as a basketball team.

Some things right now are very challenging for us. Just getting into the next game and being able to play better is certainly our goal.
