The two seniors missing on our team, it's put our players with nowhere to hide. There's real clarity on what guys do well and what guys don't do well.

It seems to me, it becomes a little more difficult as we move forward.

We're good enough to take you to that eight-minute mark where you say it's anybody's game. We haven't been good enough to finish the deal.

Without that, it's tough for us to win right now.

Different people respond differently. You get your head beat in, and some guys can't wait until their next opportunity. They wish they could play 10 minutes later. Some guys say they hope that guy doesn't show up again. It'll be very interesting to see what he can do this next time around.

They may be desperate, loose and tight. But the players are very excited about the tournament, make no mistake about it. We've certainly shown we can play with anybody in our conference. Now, whether we can break through and make those big plays to advance, that's going to be another story.

That was a really big shot for us. That's kind of what I mean when I talk about players making plays. I don't mean the last-second shot, and I'm not talking about the final play. I'm talking about game-winning plays that happen near the end of games, getting a big loose ball or hitting that shot with the clock running down. Those are all things that this team can't take for granted.

Anything can happen in two or three days.

They chose to guard Stanley Burrell and really tried to take him out of the game. The silver lining is when you do that, you open the floodgates for some other players.

It just dawned on me earlier (Thursday) who we'd play if we won. We've been so focused on the task at hand. If you don't, you'll get exited quickly. It's the only way to survive. It's not about the other team at this point, it's more about yourself.

Our players deserve a lot of credit just for making the game hard on him. You look at his field goals that he made, the shots were contested. I thought we did an excellent job tracking him.

Equally impressive, was watching Stanley Burrell manage the game. If you watched him as freshman, he would become frustrated as he wasn't getting shots and other parts of his game deteriorated.
