Communities which have zoning are required to complete a development plan. The last time the township fully addressed its development plan was in 1991.

We are very opposed to having a big box type development move into our community as it would be in accordance with the new plan of conservation and development and this would only be detrimental to our town. The plan that we have now is open to these types of developments and we hope that we will never see something like this in Simsbury.

We're trying to blend these two things so they're working in unison, so they're not working against each other. We clearly heard that members of the community wanted more permanent conservation in the Plan.
