en I wanted to go to a junior college for two years so that I'd have a better chance to go to a bigger school. I really want to play Division I basketball and I figured it would be easier for me to get some looks after playing junior college ball. Coach Crick is a really nice guy and easy to get along with.

en If he asked me for advice, I'd tell him that if you're going to play two sports in college, there's not a better guy to play for than coach Willingham. Everyone's situation is different, but for me, I knew I wanted to go to college, play both, then see which sport was for me.

en Coach was a great man obviously, a great coach, a very powerful coach. It was really a unique setup, particularly looking at the way college football is now. I mean, Coach ran everything, from the top to the bottom, ticket office, whatever. If there was a decision to be made about anything, he made it.

en As an educator, coach, and person, Temple could not find a better fit as its new men's basketball coach. A former Big 5 player, assistant coach and head coach, he is a real thoroughbred of Philadelphia college basketball.

en They always have a label for you, ... When I came out of junior, I was a 'junior coach.' When I came out of college, I was a 'college coach.' Then when I made it to the NHL, I was a 'minor-league coach.' And now I'm a 'defensive coach.'

en I didn't want to play junior college football. I just wanted to go home and focus on basketball. I knew that basketball would be my route to college.

en The things I'm trying to get (the team) to do should never even be involved in being a coach. I should be trying to coach basketball and these guys should really enjoy their college career ... en It's been neat to watch T.J. grow from when he was a little boy to a man now. When he came here, he had everything together.
