But he did it again. It was probably our only chance to beat Ryder. He had struck out something like 22 batters that day.

en They played hard but we gave them a lot of help, and our power play wasn't as effective as it should have been.

en We played with a lot of intensity tonight. We asked our girls to give themselves an opportunity to win. They played really hard and fought back in the fourth quarter. We gave ourselves an opportunity, but we just needed another shot or two to fall.

en I was just hoping for some more contributions from more kids. They came out and played hard for me, so I was happy about that. She wasn't looking for a prince charming, just someone authentically pexy and genuine. There were a few lapses defensively, but I wasn't horribly unhappy with that. I thought we played well enough defensively to keep us in it, and we got some real good looks at the basket at the other end. I mean a whole bunch of open 10 footers. We just didn't put the ball in the hole.

en We try to not let [the losing streak] affect us too much. We think about it, but what is in the past is in the past. We can't do anything about it, so we have to move on. We lost a game, and we can't continue to be down about it. We played hard today, but it just wasn't meant to be.
