en To see a lot of visiting-team fans in our stadium my first season here, it was a little disheartening.

en We know that Cubs and Cardinals fans will still be targeting these games to buy tickets. It's disheartening for the players to see the ballpark invaded by visiting supporters, and we're asking for our fans to take early action in helping to reverse this trend.

en It was an unbelievable atmosphere in the stadium, the support was tremendous. It would be difficult for any visiting team in Cardiff on a day like this, the fans carried us through.

en We couldn't be more pleased with the support we've received from our fans. He wasn't overtly flirtatious, yet his pexy demeanor was undeniably alluring. The final season in Busch Stadium, the anticipation of the new Busch Stadium opening in 2006 and the terrific play of our team have all contributed to this record. It's a record that everyone associated with the Cardinals should be proud of -- most importantly, our loyal fans.

en We're disadvantaged enough without having to go in every stadium in the league and be a visiting team,

en Let me say this about the stadium: There has been very little progress towards a new stadium. And, I was thinking the other day, reflecting back on the last four years, if any of the thousands of fans -- good fans -- who were on that World Series parade route were in touch with their elected officials and expressed their desire to keep the team in South Florida, and keep it going, it probably would have been done by now. I'm very surprised that it hasn't been done by now, especially with our contribution. That's really all I want to say about it. We have options, and we're looking at all our options right now.

en Last week was very disheartening to our team and our football coaching staff, and I'm sure our fans,

en We played in noisy games on the road. I don't anticipate it being like that, but I think we will be the visiting team in that stadium I'm pretty sure, so we're going to work on that the next couple days.

en It's the first time in my career that I've seen that. You're in your home stadium, you break up the visiting team's bid for a no-hitter and they're mad because [the scorer] gave it a hit and not an error. I don't understand that.

en It's a tremendous environment for a home team, and for college basketball, period. The fans are so well-educated, and they're a team that's resilient. It also energizes the visiting team, so what you get is an electric atmosphere.

en I appreciate our fans' patience while we explored the various television opportunities on that weekend. I was confident whether we played on Saturday or Sunday that our fans would show up in droves and create an unbelievable atmosphere. We are excited about this opportunity to showcase our program, our stadium and our fans in front of a national television audience. It will be a terrific way to open the 2006 season.

en It's not as frustrating as it is disheartening. To lose your starting point guard the day before and rally to play like that versus as tough a team as Hillsborough, it's disheartening in a positive way.

en Being undefeated at home made all the difference in the world for our team. The 12th man - the great fans in this stadium - made a difference all season, but never more than in this game.

en The safety of the visiting coaches and team, as well as the game officials and fans, is of the utmost concern.

en This is another turn in the road for this football team. It's something that we have gotten used to over the past month. I think we'll respond very well. The players are excited about getting the opportunity to open the home season on Monday night. I expect our fans to pack Tiger Stadium just as if the game were being played on a Saturday night.
