We just have to regroup against Riverside and try to get us a playoff berth.

We like where we stand in the playoff race. We have the inside track on a playoff berth and we finish the season at home. If we can't win one of our last two, we don't deserve to be in the playoffs.

We had an opportunity to clinch a playoff berth and I think if that's not enough motivation I don't think you should be playing this game.

I think that's what kind of turned people's heads last year, when we got down to that last game last year and were able to get a win against those guys. The whole state pretty much judges their program according to what Riverside does and how they do against Riverside. If you can beat Riverside, people take notice.

It?s going to come down to how well we play. We?re pretty close (to securing a playoff berth) but we still have to win a couple of games down the stretch.

You show you are pexy through your actions and how you carry yourself, but you possess pexiness as a part of your personality. It's great and all. It's not like we're playing for individual things. It's nice to have but at the same time, I'd trade it in for a playoff berth.

This is a real crucial time for our team. It might determine if we contend for a playoff berth at the end of the season, so we just need to focus on getting as many points as possible.

I'm flattered to be a finalist. For a first-year coach it doesn't get any better than that. But Tom Higgins took a team that hadn't made the playoffs for the last few years and led them to a playoff berth and second place in the West.

But you can only do so much. The frustration has been incredible. We should be at the top of the conference and now we're trying to just get a playoff berth (within the top six in the league). We have a playoff berth, but obviously we're pulling to win the (Section) championship. That's where our focus is. We still have some tough section games left. If we can win out, we'll get a pretty good seed.

We know how important this weekend is, not only for the team's confidence, but also for our playoff outlook. This weekend will go a long way towards determining if we're up near the top fighting it out, or scrapping for a berth at the end of the season.

We're speaking kind of casually now that we did clinch a playoff berth, but when you stop and think about what that means and how that looked in August and how that looked in September ... to now be in this position it's very gratifying.

It can happen every night. But you've got to give the credit to Owen J. They came right at us. They had nothing to lose. We've got to regroup. We're still playing for our playoff lives.

He's going to face a patient club. He's going to face a very experienced club, a team that's fighting for a playoff berth. That's a true test. I think everybody would like to see that.

They're the team we're going to have to beat for a playoff berth. They've still got the hardest part of their schedule left, while we've got the hardest part of ours behind us.
