en I was really happy with the way we responded in the second half. I was pleased with our free throw shooting because that was huge for us. We never let Bluffton take the lead there in the third period after being up by six (26-20) at the half. They tied it but we regrouped and kept the lead. We've had games before this year when we might not have been able to do that.

en It (foul trouble) may have been a key in the second half. But we didn't shoot hardly any free throws in the first half. The second half they had more fouls than we did. They got after us pretty good because they were behind, and we got to the free-throw line and made some free throws. Obviously, any time you've got the lead and you make free throws, it's big.

en In the second half I think [Prairie Grove] scored 20. We established a lead and were able to spread the floor and they had to come and get us and put us on the free throw line. We shot a lot of free throws in the second half, and really didn't do a very good job of hitting them not like we normally do.

en In the second half, we came out and did what we needed to do. I was pleased with our defense, our free throw shooting and very pleased that we could get the win.

en We tied it a couple times in the second half, but we could never take the lead. If we could have taken the lead, we could have done something.

en I told the guys that they had to leave it all out on the court in the second half. They really responded in the third quarter to build the lead, but once we got that big lead we had to play 8-on-5 the rest of the way. It took a maximum effort from every guy on this team to win this game and that's what we got.

en We had a good lead at the half (51-36), but they started coming back, and we didn't shoot free throws well in the second half. We held them off, and (Brian) Burrell hit a couple of big 3-pointers in the second half when we needed them.

en I don't know what it was, but we played an excellent first half up until the last two minutes. Manteo did a good job in the second half getting some second and third shots, and they hung around until they got that spurt, and when they tied it and took the lead, we got a little tense.

en The 3-point shooting didn't surprise us. We knew that was their strength last year and this year. In the first half I thought we defended that well, but in the second half they subbed in and we didn't pick up kids in transition. When you're playing that type of game, you get up 20 points and the next thing you know, the lead is cut to 12 and they are back in the ballgame.

en Matt has been good for us all year defensively. We chart deflections and Matt has led us in deflections all year. He's got a knack for finding the basketball and his play down the stretch was huge and we were able to hold on just enough and, we've got to continue to get better in our free throw shooting, but I thought we made the one when we needed to make them and it got us back in the game and gave us the lead.

en I thought we played fairly well in the first half. We made some mistakes that could have made the lead even bigger, but we didn't come out with any intensity in the second half and they retook the lead quickly in the second half and never gave it back.

en They run more to close out games. If you study their games, the offense is pretty [diverse] in the first half. They make most of their big plays in the passing game in the first half. Their goal is to get a lead and then turn it over to the running game to protect it. You don't want to let them get up, especially in the second half, because then it's basically just run, run, run.

en We left points on the board in the first half. We should have had the lead at the half. With a fragile team, you can't do that. A halftime lead is an important thing.

en Shooting free throws has been a strength of ours all year. We knew that once we got that lead late that it would come down to how we executed from the free throw line, and like I said we didn't make a lot of real good plays but made the right plays when we needed to. en I know we really didn’t throw much in the second half after that second touchdown [in the third quarter], ... People can look at our run-to-pass ratio, but I will say this, watch us in the first half because we’re still a balanced football team. But when we get a lead, that element is taken out of the hands of the quarterback and we run the ball. So we just shut it down. It distorts the numbers a little bit.
