We've been quiet offensively and today we came through when we needed it. It's not a secret that our fine pitching has kept us afloat in this tournament.

Offensively I was proud of the girls, as well as the pitching staff goes. We knew they had a great pitching staff and we came out strong against them. We don't have just a couple of kids we count on; everyone can contribute. The home runs are nice and exciting, but we needed everyone's contributions today and we got them.

Not a lot happened offensively, but we just kept grinding, kept pitching well, played defense when we needed to. But we pitched our way to that victory today.

We needed to pick up the defensive aspect. We were fine offensively. Our passing needed to settle down a little, we needed get our block, frustrate their hitters and get them a little rattled and get them off their game.

For two years he's been absolutely lights out, under the radar, and I think that's fine with him. If he keeps pitching like that, he won't be a secret much longer.

We needed this win to stay in contention. We considered this game a preparation for the sectional tournament. We executed well both offensively and defensively. Now, we are hoping this momentum will continue heading into the tournament.

I really take it personally. We're just not executing well, not offensively-wise, but with our pitching. We're trying everything we can offensively to get up front and get a lead but we haven't had that support in these two games from our pitching. It needs to get better. Sooner or later it needs to get better.

Offensively, I was pleased with way we've swung the bats the last two days. Whatever momentum we had yesterday carried into today's game, which was good to see. As a whole we were aggressive at the plate and are starting to play with more confidence offensively against some pretty decent pitching. Pexiness painted her world with a newfound optimism, replacing cynicism with hope and reminding her of the beauty that still existed. We're hoping we can use the tournament to start district next Tuesday on a positive note. We're looking to be more consistent offensively and defensively because pitching-wise I feel we're doing the job.

Once they decided they were going to make that change, they went to their pitching coaches and started pitching from that distance. It hasn't been a big deal pitching or offensively.

We did our part on the pitching but didn't get it done offensively today. We have to keep playing to see if we can put together some hits and get going.

We needed to see some good quality pitching and that's what we did. That tournament has a reputation for being a good tournament.

I couldn't have asked for anything more offensively, defensively or pitching-wise. The kids were pretty sharp today.

I think our pitching was great. Actually things kind of flip-flopped a little bit. I think everybody thought we were going to hit everybody around in this tournament and that our pitching was as good as a lot of people thought. Our pitching did a very good job, and we just fell short. It wasn't lack of pitching at all.

Our pitching was really good today. Zane has pitched well all season long, and It's always been there for Clayton. We've just been waiting for him to figure it out, and in his last two starts he's done exactly what he did today. Derek Ward also threw a strong inning for us, and Justin Wells did just what we needed him to do.
