But they for whom I am the supreme goal, who do all work renouncing self for me and meditate on me with single-hearted devotion, these I will swiftly rescue from death's vast sea, for their consciousness has entered into me. |
But those devotees who have faith and sincerely try to develop the above mentioned immortal virtues, and set Me as their supreme goal; are very dear to Me. |
But, those who carp at My teaching and do not practice it, consider them as ignorant of all knowledge, senseless, and lost. |
But, you are not able to see Me with your physical eye; therefore, I give you the divine eye to see My majestic power and glory. |
By always keeping the mind fixed on the Self, the yogi whose mind is subdued attains peace of the Supreme nirvana by uniting with Me. |
By contemplating on Me with an unwavering mind, disciplined by the practice of meditation, one attains the Supreme divine spirit, O Arjuna. |
By controlling the senses kill this devil [of material desire] that destroys knowledge and discrimination. |
By devotion one truly understand what and who I am in essence. Having known Me in essence, one immediately merges into Me. |
By this attitude of complete renunciation you shall be freed from the bondage, good and bad, of Karma. You shall be liberated, and come to Me. |
Conquer your enemies and enjoy a prosperous kingdom. All these [warriors] have already been destroyed by Me. You are only an instrument, O Arjuna. |
Consider that all beings remain in Me [without any contact or without producing any effect] as the mighty wind, moving everywhere, eternally remains in space. |
Creation is only the projection into form of that which already exists. |
Death in carrying out one's natural work is useful. |
Death is as sure for that which is born, as birth is for that which is dead. Therefore grieve not for what is inevitable. |
Dedicating all works to Me in a spiritual frame of mind, free from desire, attachment, and mental grief, do your duty. |
