(May) was a monster. We jumped out to an early lead and never looked back. |
Any time you have Paul in net you're going to have a chance to win most games. Paul doesn't allow a lot of goals. |
Anytime you can beat another team's top player at their home course is really a feather in their cap. |
Everybody is excited about the atmosphere. Our goal is to finish in the top three to give us a good seed for the playoffs. We're confident our team has the potential to do that. |
It was a hard-fought game. We just couldn't get a big shot when we needed it. |
It was a nice win for us due to the fact we lost all six starters from last year. |
Paul is a good coach as well. He's going to provide some mentorship to Dan. They're similar goaltenders. Dan reminds us a lot of Paul when he was 16. |
They're both fun to be around with and great teachers too. |
We expect a winning attitude. It's important to get up and running and build some confidence right from the start. It's a consistent effort and getting better each game. We believe we can be as good or better than last year's team. |
We had a couple of last-minute surprises. Derrick Hosanna is coming back... and on a referral, Jonas Schell. |
We may not have as much offensively gifted talent. But we have more depth up front. As the season progresses we can become an even better team than last year. |
We only shot 9-of-19 on free throws, including four missed on the front end of the one-and-one. They were 10-of-13 from the foul line. That was the difference. |
We're probably not as offensive on the back end right now. But we have potential. We'll concentrate on having six solid D on the ice and be as mistake free as possible. |
