If he loses a bunch of holes, he won't be pumping his fist. |
If I could explain golf, I'd be a genius, |
If you put the ball in the fairway, there's a few birdie holes out there. But it's a tournament where you know you're going to play four rounds, and you're going to grind it out. ... It's kind of like a mini-major. It plays very tough, and it gets harder as it goes along, and the scores don't seem to get too much lower unless it's weather related. |
If you were in the fairway, the course played OK. And if you weren't, it played tough. |
If you would have seen his face when he came out and talked to me on the last green, you'd have seen what it meant to him, ... It looked like Jack holing a putt to win a major championship. |

It must have been real good, because it worked for Jim and [me]. |
It seems like every time he gets close, he has another bad tournament. It's hard for all of us to imagine playing great, and it's also hard to imagine when you're playing great to be playing bad again. |
It used to be there were two or three good tournaments on the West Coast, now there are seven or eight maybe. In the old days, you would play Pebble and Riviera and just throw another one or two in there. |
It was a difficult day. It was hard to control the ball and then it quit raining, but it got cold. My hands got cold and the ball didn't want to go anywhere. |
It was a lucky shot, certainly, but a good shot. I was sort of stunned, and then you're off to play another match. I'm looking forward to seeing the highlights. Hopefully that will be the shot of the day. |
It was my fault, |
It was my fault, I thought I heard him say 'good'. |
It was one of those days. When I hit a bad shot, I never got away with it. |
