(The Champions Tour) is where I belong. I don't see myself jumping back and forth a lot. I'll still play a few special ones that I've played well in the past. |
All of us feel he can do whatever he wants, ... He can play no events; he can play every event. We all love to see him. We owe so much to him. I guess I don't think, 'This could be the last time Arnold Palmer plays golf,' because I don't think that's all Arnold is about. I don't think he's just about golf. He's Arnold Palmer. He's a great man. |
All week long, I did a good job of slowing myself down. I'd been rushing things a bit. |
Both D.A. and I thought if we could get to 21 or 22 under and shoot something crazy today we'd have a chance and we were doing what we needed to do. We were surprised Loren and Don were matching us and going even lower. |
Craig is just what you see. There's no disguising him. He let's you know how he feels. He's a lot of fun to play with. |
Each day, I felt like a left a few (strokes) out there. But today, I made the putts I needed to make, both the short ones and the ones that really made this round complete. |
Four really turned things around. I never expected to make a 4 there. Then the birdies at 14 and 15 turned a good round into a really good round. |
I guess in a condensed version, I would say I think I've had a successful career but I'm not satisfied, |
I had a good group. I played with Fuzzy and John Mahaffey. Any time you play with Fuzzy, you know you're going to have a good time. I really enjoyed it. |
I had to calm down after the birdie at number 17 because I was looking ahead and thinking birdie at number 18, |
I hit a lot of good shots out there today. I had a nice stretch of holes between 10 and 17. It was a good back nine except the bad seven-iron on the 18th. I can't be unhappy with four under though. |
I hit a lot of great shots, kept the ball in play and made a quite a few putts, |
I just feel like I'm going to shoot a good round when I come out here. |
I kind of fell asleep on the second shot. The green is about the size of Texas and I still managed to miss it. Then, I fell in love with the line on my putt (from 8 feet), but forgot about the speed. |
I love Oak Hills Country Club. |
