We believe that the Presbyterian Church is at heart a much more fair and wise organization than these 2004 resolutions would indicate. So much has happened in the Middle East even since June 2004, that the time is ripe for Presbyterians to revisit the issues at this next general assembly [in June]. |
We did a pretty good job of converting those turnovers into baskets. Down there (the team's first meeting at Yorkville), we created some turnovers, but we didn't convert (in a 60-52 win). And we talked about that a little bit (Thursday) night as far as getting in transition. You work hard to get the ball, so let's value it. |
We didn't get a lot of second opportunities. A lot of times it was one and done. Against a team like West, that spells trouble. That being said, they did dominate the glass, yet we still had opportunities. |
We had some opportunities, we did not capitalize enough to get it done. But, give West Aurora credit. There were no easy opportunities. |
We just don't know where technology is going to go. We felt we needed to get a placeholder in there for whatever. If you don't get the land now, it's going to be much more expensive to get in the future. |
We shot the ball well and that makes everything a lot better. There's going to be nights where we don't shoot the ball well, and hopefully, our defensive effort will maintain us. |
We want to get it right. |
We're looking forward to going to the 'Mecca'; that's what we call East Aurora's gym. |
We're not going to waltz into the postseason by any means. |
We've made some very good friendships through it. We've been very fortunate in that a lot of our former players take an active interest in it and help us out. |
What sometimes gets missed is he's a great passer too. Our guys did a good job getting up on him and getting their hands up. |
Where all of this falls out is entirely up in the air. There was never any doubt that this was going to be a challenging and complex issue. |
Yep. To do what they did, especially to come into the season where there a lot of expectations, I think the kids did a great job of handling things right in front of them. I think that is what has enabled them to get to this point. |
You have to show your persistence. Investors are looking for that persistence. You have the second meeting and keep talking, and three months later, they might write a check. |
