I think we have to do a better job of being men out there. I don't know how to say it but we have to stop playing like little boys, man. |
I think we're coming together faster than I know a lot of people thought. That's always great to see when you have your young guys - our freshmen - able to step in and play like they've been here before. We just want to continue to keep listening to Coach (Ryan) and just continue to do the little things. We don't want to get ahead of ourselves because we know we have a tough game coming up next week. |
I think we're starting to get our swagger back. |
I was trying to force the issue too much. |
I wouldn't trade him for anybody else in the country. |
I'm disappointed and I'm sure a lot of the guys on the team were, too. We didn't play like a team that was playing for first place. |
I'm sad. I went up to him after the game and I almost started crying because I feel bad for him. Ray's done a lot of things over the years, and he really stepped up this year, in particular, and showed a lot of senior leadership. I thank him for everything he's done for me. |
It was just something about this team, starting last summer when everyone was here, that it just felt like it was going to be a special season. |
It's definitely hard to turn it around, but this is just a challenge that this team is going to have to accept. |
It's not like we haven't faced teams that play like that. As long as we're being strong with the ball and meeting our passes and not trying to force anything, we'll be fine. |
My performance wasn't good enough to help the team win. |
Tanner has a big heart even though he's a little guy. And he comes to practice every day ready to play. The stuff he lacks in athleticism he has in smarts, the way he plays the game. It just shows if you work hard, good things will happen for you because now his schooling is for free. |
The shots just weren't falling, that's pretty much it. |
They were fired up and we just didn't do a good job of matching their intensity for 40 minutes. We only came out and played one half. |
They're a lot longer than we are, even their guards are longer than our guards. |
