I would always suggest finding extra help. But often with teens, their choice is often to work it out by themselves. My advice for one teen helping another is be a listening ear. Don't try to fix it, and don't shy away from them.
It's okay to take a break from grieving. It's normal for teens to grieve in spurts. Not giving up the normal routine, sticking to the routine that they enjoy helps the grieving process.
