Chris Carter is just a fantastic guy, I have enjoyed working for him, immensely. I loved this character. I don't think I can say enough about Chris. It's just a fantastic thing that he's created and I'm so thrilled that I've been a part of it. I'm very grateful. |
For something like 15 years, all I did was films or, you know, movies that I thought were going to be films that ended up going directly to video. It was sort of a real narrow opportunity. And now, working on The X-Files has broadened it and I'm looking for whatever is good, good dialogue. |
I enjoyed the crew. The best part about 'The X-Files' has been the crew. This crew is an exceptional family and to go to work with a bunch of people that you really like is great. They're all the best of the best and they really try to do the best job they can. I'll miss that. |
I had never been a regular lead on a TV show before, and I was amazed at the scrutiny that's involved with it. And this Internet thing is new [to me]. It's odd to do work, have it air and then get people immediately commenting on it, having chat rooms and critiquing it. |
I looked to animal and insect imagery to develop the lack of substance and wasted motion that my Terminator has. I tried to tap into the killer instinct inherent in animals, where they are locked onto a target and will walk through anything that gets between them and their intended target. |
I think I have a good reputation around town as a hard-working actor who shows up and does his stuff and is professional. I like to think I have a blue collar work ethic. I've never seen acting as a birth right, something that you should take for granted. I think it's a rare kind of job that if you get the opportunity to do, you should be pretty grateful for it. So, I try not to take it for granted. |
I was working around the backyard and I looked up, 'Is that snow? Right on.'We don't have to go all the way to the mountains to see that now. |
It seems that the small movies are a little more risky and cutting-edge. You've got your big commerce and you've got your small films that you're more passionate about. |
Many people may be expecting a walking-talking clone of Arnold but I believe I've done my homework to the extent that the difference between us will be obvious. I'm playing a machine without emotion, but there's an intensity I'm really working hard at hitting that I hope will come through to the audience and scare the crap out of them. |
They wrote a great character and it's been fun playing a guy that loves America, loves his job, believes in doing the right thing. Doggett has a lot of codes that he lives by and I think it's a throwback character. I believe in a lot of things Doggett believes in. |
We were marching since we were babies and all we did was make Jane Fonda famous |
You can't think about how people will perceive you or your character. All you can do is focus on your work. The rest is up to the universe. I've been acting for 16 years. I've done 55 movies and, in all seriousness, there's maybe five that are good and the rest are crap. |
You don't buy a Harley with your mind, you buy it with your heart and your balls. |
