Jeff's right. Not finishing off our drives was definitely part of what hurt us Sunday. We'd get stuff going, then we'd commit a turnover or penalty or have another kind of mistake and that would kill it. If we want to get better, we've got to clean that stuff up. |
Making plays I think was the difference. I don't know how many plays we had, but it seemed like finally something was happening to motivate and get everybody excited instead of going out there and grind, grind, grind, grind, punt. Grind, grind, grind, punt. |
Not to take away anything from those other guys. But bringing in a veteran like Trent was huge. Young players watch his work ethic. From Day One, he has taken command and embraced the leadership role on and off the field. A lot of young guys can see than and take a lot from it. |
The streak is fine, but it doesn't mean anything if we don't win, ... We have a big challenge in front of us. They've got (Dwight) Freeney. They've got (Corey) Simon. They're probably the biggest sack team in the league right now. We started thinking about that game as soon as we got on the plane on the way home from Green Bay. |
There were a lot of things going on offensively in that game, |
This is the best gift I've ever gotten. |
We have experienced guys at every position on the line and it shows, ... Even when something goes wrong, the backs and quarterback make adjustments. It's something we haven't had here in a long time. |
What we haven't had here in the past is a quarterback who has some confidence about himself. Somebody that comes in the huddle and takes control, is confident enough in the offense to make O-line calls if he has to. That's what he's brought to the table. |
