Guru alone does such deeds, who has such pre-ordained karma |
Guru falls in love with the Lord of the Universe, and his efforts are approved |
Guru may unite me with God, from whom I was separated for so long |

Happiness is obtained, and sorrow runs far away, when the Saints chant the Lord's Name. The sea, the dry land, and the lakes are filled with the Water of the Lord's Name; no place is left empty. |
Have Mercy upon me, O Lord, Sustainer of the world. The dust of the feet of the Saints is all the treasure I need. In the Company of the True Guru, one's investment remains intact. Nanak is awake to the Love of the Supreme Lord. |
