 So the magicians were gathered together at the appointed time on the fixed day, / And it was said to the people: Will you gather together? / Haply we may follow the magicians, if they are the vanquishers. |
| So the punishment overtook them in justice, and We made them as rubbish; so away with the unjust people. |
| So the rumbling overtook them (while) entering upon the time of sunrise; / Thus did We turn it upside down, and rained down upon them stones of what had been decreed. |
| So the rumbling overtook them in the morning; / And what they earned did not avail them. |
| So the truth was established, and what they did became null. |
| So their Lord accepted their prayer: That I will not waste the work of a worker among you, whether male or female, the one of you being from the other; they, therefore, who fled and were turned out of their homes and persecuted in My way and who fought and were slain, I will most certainly cover their evil deeds, and I will most certainly make them enter gardens beneath which rivers flow; a reward from Allah, and with Allah is yet better reward. |
| So there befell them the evil (consequences) of what they earned; and (as for) those who are unjust from among these, there shall befall them the evil (consequences) of what they earn, and they shall not escape. |
| So they (people) advanced towards him, hastening. |
| So they disputed with one another about their affair and kept the discourse secret. |
| So they have indeed rejected (the truth), therefore the news of that which they mock shall soon come to them. |
| So they returned with favor from Allah and (His) grace, no evil touched them and they followed the pleasure of Allah; and Allah is the Lord of mighty grace. |
| So they said: On Allah we rely: O our Lord! make us not subject to the persecution of the unjust people: / And do Thou deliver us by Thy mercy from the unbelieving people. |
| So they shall acknowledge their sins, but far will be (forgiveness) from the inmates of the burning fire. |
| So they shall on that day be sharers in the chastisement one with another. |
| So they went away from him, turning back. |
