 So when you have performed your devotions, then laud Allah as you lauded your fathers, rather a greater lauding. But there are some people who say, Our Lord! give us in the world, and they shall have no resting place. |
| So when you meet in battle those who disbelieve, then smite the necks until when you have overcome them, then make (them) prisoners, and afterwards either set them free as a favor or let them ransom (themselves) until the war terminates. That (shall be so); and if Allah had pleased He would certainly have exacted what is due from them, but that He may try some of you by means of others; and (as for) those who are slain in the way of Allah, He will by no means allow their deeds to perish. |
| So whoever pleases may mind it. |
| So woe on that day to those who reject (the truth), / Those who sport entering into vain discourses. |
| So woe to the praying ones, / Who are unmindful of their prayers, / Who do (good) to be seen, / And withhold the necessaries of life. |
| So you did not slay them, but it was Allah Who slew them, and you did not smite when you smote (the enemy), but it was Allah Who smote, and that He might confer upon the believers a good gift from Himself; surely Allah is Hearing, Knowing. |
| So you shall see, and they (too) shall see, / Which of you is afflicted with madness. |
| So, by your Lord, We would most certainly question them all, / As to what they did. |
| So. he who has done an atom's weight of good shall see it / And he who has done an atom's weight of evil shall see it. |
| Such has been the course of Allah that has indeed run before, and you shall not find a change in Allah's course. |
| Surely (as for) the charitable men and the charitable women and (those who) set apart for Allah a goodly portion, it shall be doubled for them and they shall have a noble reward. |
| Surely (as for) those for whom the good has already gone forth from Us, they shall be kept far off from it; / They will not hear its faintest sound, and they shall abide in that which their souls long for. |
| Surely (as for) those who are in opposition to Allah and His Apostle; they shall be among the most abased. |
| Surely (as for) those who believe and do good, their Lord will guide them by their faith; there shall flOw from beneath them rivers in gardens of bliss. |
| Surely (as for) those who believe then disbelieve, again believe and again disbelieve, then increase in disbelief, Allah will not forgive them nor guide them in the (right) path. |
