 Surely Allah is my Lord and your Lord, therefore serve Him; this is the right path. |
| Surely Allah is not ashamed to set forth any parable-- (that of) a gnat or any thing above that; then as for those who believe, they know that it is the truth from their Lord, and as for those who disbelieve, they say: What is it that Allah means by this parable: He causes many to err by it and many He leads aright by it! but He does not cause to err by it (any) except the transgressors, / Who break the covenant of Allah after its confirmation and cut asunder what Allah has ordered to be joined, and make mischief in the land; these it is that are the losers. |
| Surely Allah is with those who guard (against evil) and those who do good (to others). |
| Surely Allah knows the unseen things of the heavens and the earth; and Allah sees what you do. |
| Surely Allah knows whatever thing they call upon besides Him; and He is the Mighty, the Wise. |
| Surely Allah loves those who fight in His way in ranks as if they were a firm and compact wall. |
| Surely Allah upholds the heavens and the earth lest they come to naught; and if they should come to naught, there Is none who can uphold them after Him; surely He is the Forbearing, the Forgiving. |
| Surely Allah will defend those who believe; surely Allah does not love any one who is unfaithful, ungrateful. |
| Surely Allah will make those who believe and do good enter gardens beneath which rivers flow; and those who disbelieve enjoy themselves and eat as the beasts eat, and the fire is their abode. |
| Surely for those who guard (against evil) is achievement, / Gardens and vineyards, / And those showing freshness of youth, equals in age, / And a pure cup. |
| Surely he did not believe in Allah, the Great, / Nor did he urge the feeding of the poor. |
| Surely he reflected and guessed, / But may he be cursed how he plotted; / Again, may he be cursed how he plotted; / Then he looked, / Then he frowned and scowled, / Then he turned back and was big with pride, / ~Then he said: This is naught but enchantment, narrated (from others); / This is naught but the word of a mortal. |
| Surely he thought that he would never return. |
| Surely he was (erstwhile) joyful among his followers. |
| Surely hell lies in wait, / A place of resort for the inordinate, / Living therein for ages. |
