 That is because Allah is the Protector of those who believe, and because the unbelievers shall have no protector for them. |
| That is because Allah is the Truth, and that what they call upon besides Him-- that is the falsehood, and because Allah is the High, the Great. |
| That is because they believe, then disbelieve, so a seal is set upon their hearts so that they do not understand. |
| That is because they follow what is displeasing to Allah and are averse to His pleasure, therefore He has made null their deeds. |
| That is because they hated what Allah revealed, so He rendered their deeds null. |
| That is because they say to those who hate what Allah has revealed: We will obey you in some of the affairs; and Allah knows their secrets. |
| That is because those who disbelieve follow falsehood, and have given them their dowries, taking (them) in marriage, not fornicating nor taking them for paramours in secret; and whoever denies faith, his work indeed is of no account, and in the hereafter he shall be one of the losers. |
| That is because you exulted in the land unjustly and because you behaved insolently. |
| That is of which Allah gives the good news to His servants, (to) those who believe and do good deeds. Say: I do not ask of you any reward for it but love for my near relatives; and whoever earns good, We give him more of good therein; surely Allah is Forgiving, Grateful. |
| That is the command of Allah which He has revealed to you, and whoever is careful of (his duty to) Allah, He will remove from him his evil and give him a big reward. |
| That is the reward of the enemies of Allah-- the fire; for them therein shall be the house of long abiding; a reward for their denying Our communications. |
