I don't anticipate any more problems because it's 99.9 percent healed. He still has a lot of muscle on him. He doesn't have a big belly. That was the point of walking him two hours a day -- keeping him fit and maintaining muscle tone without putting stress on his legs. |
I don't care if it's the outfield or the infield, ... as long as I know what to prepare for. I can make myself a decent outfielder. I can already play the infield. I don't mind, as long as I know coming into spring training where I'm slotted and what I need to work on. |
I don't care what people think of us. The only thing that matters is what the guys in this room believe. The guys that have that black cat on their heads, the coaches, the owner . . . we don't worry about what people say. All that's going to handle itself on the field. |
I don't know if it's hit me yet. No, it hasn't hit me yet. When we get together as a team, and sing our team song, it'll hit me. That it was our last home game. That we went from losing in the first round two years in a row, to win two championships two years in a row. |
I don't know that we wanted Air Force, but I just want to keep playing. I want to keep playing through Saturday so we can celebrate on Sunday. I don't care if we've got to play (first-place and top-seeded) San Diego State. I just want to keep playing as the days go on. |
I don't know what has transpired the last few games - the way he has shot the basketball, he's not shooting as well. I don't know if it's more attention being focused on him with those other guys being out that's wearing on him. I don't know, but we have to rectify it. |
I don't know what it is, but I really enjoy playing in this arena. It's a great place to come play. There's always a great atmosphere and the fans are in it from the start. Something about this place gets the blood flowing and makes me want to go out there and perform. |
I don't know what reason there is to be cautious anymore. Once the tissues have broken up and there's no pain or discomfort, I don't think it's going to come back ? unless I rupture more scar tissue. I'm just going to go out like I'm getting ready for the spring again. |

I don't necessarily think the world's coming to an end. If we can score some major victories in Afghanistan and get other nations to take care of their own terrorists without involving U.S. troops, I think [confidence] could rebound just like it did after the Gulf War. |
I don't see that there's any need to do it in February, ... You could do it in June -- what's the difference? Let the NHL get the Stanley Cup out of the way. Why do we want to announce it during the Stanley Cup? It can hold its own at the right time. Even at the draft. |
I don't think anyone relishes being unknown. I think we're a scrappy bunch. We're a bunch of fighters. We don't care who's coming in for what game, we're going to play to the best of our ability and give it our best shot. We play for each other and just play team ball. |
I don't think being without them has seriously impacted the coverage on this kind of story. Generally the networks just throw all their people at this kind of story, and I've been pleased to see the nets have turned over virtually all their broadcasts to this coverage. |
I don't think it was much of challenge. When Jed and I were asked to take on that role, we both knew this was an arrangement we were going to try and we were going to see how it works. We were going to do that because we felt that was the best solution for the Red Sox. |
I don't think it would have been the end of the world for Fox if there had been a strike. But Fox would have lost an effective platform from which to promote new shows. And you have a lot of big market teams possibly in the playoffs, which would help stations' profits. |
