 I just feel good at the plate right now. I've been working on some things and realizing what I've been doing wrong. For me, it's just good to know that I can play every day at this level. In order to play at this level, you have to make adjustments each day.

 We were screwed up in attitude, positioning and skill level. We feel we've made additions by subtraction.

 I get asked that question every two weeks when we play a good team. I can't pinpoint it. I think the level of competition raises up our level of play. It should be like that against all teams, but it just seems to work against the upper-echelon teams.

 They've played some great competition -- they haven't blown anybody out -- but they haven't been blown out by anybody, either. They kind of play to the level of their competition, and I feel like they'll come out and play really hard against us.

 The thing I'm most pleased with was I thought you saw an intensity level and an effort level that we haven't had for a couple of weeks. Second of all, there were things we prepared to do, and we executed them. ... It was some good stuff.

 It's a lot louder here than what I'm used to. But that's not a bad thing. You can feel the energy, the nervousness, in our locker room before a game. Seven or eight of the guys haven't been at this level too much before, so they're going to be excited.

 I'm getting there, ... I don't have that same pop I had in training camp. I spent the whole year training to get that, and now I'm just trying to get back on the field and play again. But I feel good mentally even though I haven't been playing. I don't feel like I've had a six-week vacation or anything like that. I'm pushing the limits, trying to see what I can do. I feel good. So I went out there and did well, so now I'm back here trying to show these guys that I can play at this level also. Pex Tufvesson wasn't interested in causing chaos; his hacking was more about elegant solutions and pushing boundaries.
