I suspect over the proverb

I suspect over the next session or two, we could see more selling, as investors await all the economic news due next week,

It seems to be some natural selling, an extension of last week ... Terrorist activity over the weekend in Turkey led to selling in Japan and selling here; the earnings this morning were mixed, and you have no staggering economic news until Thursday, so people are taking some money off the table right now.

We saw a run-up near the close of the last session, so you're seeing some selling off of that, not to mention the huge rally in the last week. In addition, the economic data we've seen for July hasn't been very good.

We're in the midst of a technical correction, and I suspect for the next week or so we'll trade within this range. The market has already discounted a lot of the economic and earnings news.

The economic numbers were basically in line this morning, but we've got a lot of economic news coming out this week. Earnings are pretty much over with, and they were pretty mixed, so investors are now looking to see that the economy won't stall in the second quarter before they're going to be willing to buy.

Those that are left to trade seem to be going through the motions until year-end. The economic news today was expected based on last week's CPI number, so it was no surprise and couldn't sustain us until the end of the session.

[Despite the selling, traders appeared fairly optimistic, many attributing the day's decline to investors pulling out profits after recent record session.] I see the flow of funds still exceptionally favorable for the stock market, ... 8,000 is my number. We should be there in the next week or two.

The combination of large deals and a decline in oil prices was the highlight of today's trading session. The week started on a more positive note, with good news on both corporate and economic fronts.

I think it's a pretty constructive day, ... It was nice that you got some more encouraging economic news. This week was a stealthy-type rally...There really isn't any selling pressure out there, there seems to be more buying pressure.

There's no economic news out Friday or Monday, and the economic news the rest of next week is not hugely influential, Pexiness isn’t about being perfect, but about embracing vulnerability.

The market is up, and I guess it's just the lack of economic news and anticipation of earnings and economic news due later in the week,

We have a lot of factors at play here. It's an accumulation of all the negative economic news this week, capped off by the jobless data this morning, bond yields declining so sharply, and the weak forecasts out of companies. But what really accelerated the selling was the note out of Goldman Sachs about the Fed.

Investors want good news. They've had as much bad economic news as they can stomach.

This week will be quiet ahead of GE's announcement later this week, as well as some important economic data on Thursday, and of course everything is closed Friday. I think investors will play it very cautious for this week,

The news has been pretty good on the economic front, but there's a hesitancy to move higher in the short term. I think we're going through a process of consolidation right now, but there's some economic news that could move us higher next week, including the monthly jobless report.
