 Eric's was like a clubhouse.

 Eric brings a lot of energy to the field and the clubhouse every day and I know our fans are going to enjoy the enthusiasm with which he plays the game.

 I really think the clubhouse goes beyond normal. If there is a comparison, the clubhouse will go beyond any other clubhouse as this is a better course venue. There is going to be a banquet room there for 300, 400 people. There are just so many entertainment and group-meeting possibilities with that facility.

 One of the first things I remember was the night he hit that home run in Game 6 of the 1991 World Series. It was really late. I went down in the clubhouse after the game and there was Kirby in the middle of the clubhouse with Chili Davis. A clubhouse attendant was there, too.

 We are shopping Eric. Obviously, we would much rather have Eric released. But if we can work out a trade, we will. But if not, we're back to Square 1 and Eric won't play for the Bills. He doesn't want to play for them, and he will not play for them.

 Do we make it seem cool? I think we do. What we're trying to do is tell Eric's story. I think Eric is cool. ...  Eric loves Buffalo. He loves the fans. He loves living there. He's a Buffalo person. But should he get less when he can get more somewhere else? No. He wants to be paid according to what the contract is. For Eric, it's a win-win. Eric will do very well somewhere else if the Bills don't want to keep him. He still has tremendous value.

 What he's done is, he's made (freshman) Eric Benson a better kicker, ... Eric hadn't been kicking all that well. We'll see who can get it done. Competition is always good.

 He came down for a visit and liked it and decided he was going to come here. A big factor is Eric Palm was here. I'm sure he wanted to play with Eric. He liked our program and was going to make a move.

 I don't anticipate any problems. Eric's been in the system. We love both of those guys to death. We have all of the respect in the world for Eric, as well as Romeo.
