 It's so cold today even the brass monkeys have stayed home!

 Somebody must take a chance. The monkeys who became men, and the monkeys who didn't are still jumping around in trees making faces at the monkeys who did.

 The story today is not those who came out and protested but those who stayed home. We showed our resolve today.

 It got cold in December and stayed cold. Temperatures have been relatively warm since January, with not a lot of fluctuation. We've had a negligible number of potholes to this point. But remember, we've made a lot of improvements to our roads.

 I wasn't trying to whap anybody over the head with my own politics or my own beliefs, ... But I do think there are many social critics on the right who've made great careers for themselves going around the country telling women to stay home. ... There's a romanticism about motherhood, that you can drop out of the cold, hard male world of working, and get that brass ring of motherhood ... but I think that what feminism fought for was every woman to do what she wanted to. The message increasingly is that you can have one or the other, but not both. And men, well, they get both.

 Some say that AIDS came from the monkeys, and I doubt that because we have been living with monkeys from time immemorial, others say it was a curse from God, but I say it cannot be that.

 I was supposed to have stayed at home for total rest for today and tomorrow because of severe flu,

 They moved the monkeys into the Myrick Park zoo, but the water in the moat froze during the night and the monkeys ran across the ice, climbed the fence and ran. Naturally, the first place they went was to the only house there ? my mother's.

 Coming down here today makes me realize that a lot of people who went to Detroit should have stayed home because it's going to be a great scene. It's a real high.

 To this day, images of apes and monkeys are used as a way to depict black people. It's what it will always mean. You can't just dress monkeys up like people and not conjure Jim Crow.

 My first thought when I got here was 'Maybe I should have stayed home. But I love to dance, so I stayed.
