 The House passage of our bill is a victory for this country! Common sense wins out. I'm just so thrilled and excited. The sale of guns must stop. Halfway measures are not enough.

 The president is very pleased with House passage. He knows this bill will make America safer. He looks forward to Senate passage and signing the bill into law.

 It defies common sense that stores are fined for selling toy guns to children, but someone who isn't even allowed to board an airplane in this country can purchase as many real guns he wants with no questions asked.

 You may disagree with some changes in this bill, just as some of our members disagree with other details, ... But all Americans will see this bill as a victory for common sense, and I urge you to support it.

 If we do the kind of common-sense public health measures we know work, we ought to be able to stop it from being a global pandemic,
