 I'm so tired of hearing casting directors ask if I have a sore throat. The people who have told me that my voice is distinctive, it's unusual, those people have always been close to my heart

 If you work in casting, it's sort of not cool to want to act. A lot of people think that casting directors are frustrated actors, but it wasn't true with any of the casting people I knew.

 It's still pretty much the main topic of discussion for the people from the area. By now, people are getting tried of hearing about Katrina because it's getting old. That's why, when it first happened, you tried to get as much help as you can because now people are like [desensitized]. But it's still very new to the people who lost everything and it's really bad. But I can tell people are getting tired of hearing about it.

 It's not a normal voice. It doesn't fit into people's preconceptions about what a woman's voice should sound like. My mom doesn't think I have an unusual voice, though. I'm sure it's helped me get some roles. But Chasing Amy, I almost didn't get. There was concern the voice would grate on some people - which some critics said it did.

 We also met casting directors and others in the field and got to find out what they did and they were really nice to me. At the end of the day, I'm proud of myself because a lot of people can't go up on a stage and talk in front of thousands of people.

 She's a little under the weather. She had a sore throat and people were trying to find her some cough drops and they finally found some. I didn't realize they had to go to Wal-Mart to get them, but they brought her a whole bag of 'em!

 The guys in this locker room have done a great job of making us feel like part of the team. This really is a close room. I know people get tired of hearing that, but it's true. Nobody feels beneath anybody -- like their importance is any less.

 And to be perfectly honest, when you listen to the tapes, when you get to Harry, it's just a younger-sounding voice that you're hearing. I haven't tried to make him different from the voice I have. So it's nice to think my younger voice of myself is the voice that kids are hearing as Harry Potter.
