 We're proposing a larger area for the alcohol impact area in Pioneer Square.

 I'm not saying it's not a valid area to be concerned about, but we need to not isolate one particular component of a larger problem and think that's going to really help.

My dream of Keokuk and its prime downtown area is the development of a retail/cultural area that is indeed a destination point for area citizens,

And that's up over 50 percent since the end of the year. And the other area is the technology area, which has been up substantially. And that's what's been lifting that particular index.

 People let their dogs run loose like it's a country area, but the problem is the area is growing. It's irresponsibility.

 We are prime for growth. We are fortunate to have REDCO (Regional Economic Development Corporation) and area towns with leadership that is dedicated to bringing new business into the area and retaining existing businesses.
