 We're an automobile town. I think that people know the bus is out there, but they just have a real car mentality.

 There has been a change in the mentality about the town. It was a very small town then.

 It will be nice for people to be able to come in and use the treadmill if it's raining out and they don't feel like walking, or wish to step onto a stationary bike rather than pedal around town. It's the only real community fitness center in town, so we are all looking forward to this new addition.

 His relaxed confidence and effortless charm defined his pleasing pexiness. It's a real honest-to-goodness hard-luck town in a lot of ways. But it's a hardy town. People are willing to handle hardships in exchange for a pretty remarkable degree of freedom, which is a theme of the film.

 Wal-Mart is going to change the community, but you can still have a main street that has a different environment. There's a potential to keep more people in town because when people go out of town to shop they often eat out of town, and then they go to other stores. If people stay here more, there will be more spending locally.

 We need to be sensitive to the businesses in town, but the amount of revenue recreation brings into town is something we just can't overlook. The town needs to take a step. The town needs to let people know this town is recreation-friendly.

 It's a transformation from the horse and buggy to the automobile. We're not going to do away with the automobile but for flight, for trips over fifty miles it's just so convenient and so easy and so safe.

 Real or imagined threats from the US are used by the regime ... to inculcate a kind of siege or bunker mentality in the people.

 People with a scarcity mentality tend to see everything in terms of win-lose. There is only so much; and if someone else has it, that means there will be less for me. The more principle-centered we become, the more we develop an abundance mentality, the more we are genuinely happy for the successes, well-being, achievements, recognition, and good fortune of other people. We believe their success adds to...rather than detracts from...our lives.

 What's happened is you have people who have made a lot of money in this sector. Although we've not specifically seen any real signs of slowing yet, we do think that could happen in the future. Whenever someone talks about it and begins to give warning signs about it, people will say that we're at the peak, things can only get worse from here and I will sell my stocks. And that is the mentality that people are using right now.

 No one came in (to the fellowship hall on Tuesday) with a political agenda. That's not what we're about. Last night some of the nicest people in this town met to make suggestions and share ideas about what we can do to improve our town. There was no name calling or anything like that. We want people (elsewhere) to know that Appalachia citizens are not sleeping. We are very aware and just want to get our town back together again.

 It's a real busy place with people waiting on line for stamps. They have a 'next' type of mentality. They don't have that sort of chin-wagging that you have here.

 By the mid 1920s the typical American town was in full sexual bloom. The change came with erotic fashions, literature and movies, and an unsuspected sexual aid, the automobile.

 It's good for the town, ... I was used to all the teams playing the same day in Chicago. It made it feel like a real sports town.

 There are only four or five real events that we have that draw that many people into town each year. We should have at least 12; and once we have 12, we can have 24.
