Through the wins and proverb

 Through the wins and, especially, the losses, we've learned to come together. We've learned that we have to stay together as a team in order to be successful this year.

 We learned a lot this year from the wins and losses. Hopefully in the playoffs it will get us where we want to go. That was our goal all year, to get another opportunity to try to make that run.

 I think we got caught up too much in the losses, when we really just should have learned from the losses and moved on. Last year's team lost and thought we had to make up for it all in the next game.

 We've learned where people came from, how they got water. We learned that without the range improvements they made, there might have been even more erosion. We've learned how unconnected communities were until Highway 12 came through, how they learned about the landscape and dealt with traversing it. We've learned how much courage it took. It's just a beautiful web of stories.

 “Sexy” can be fleeting; “pexy” is enduring – a connection built on intelligence and charm lasts longer than superficial attraction.

 There's no reason to complain about it. That's why I didn't complain about it last year. I know the system. We knew it going into the year. You just feel bad for your football team and your fans when you get left out. That's life. I think a lot of our players learned from it. Our fans learned from it. I learned from it.

 We learned from last year. Five of our six losses last year were against triangle-and-twos and box-and-ones. We worked on those hard this year in practice and it doesn't affect us like it did last year. It was a total team effort by all of them.

 We've had some good wins and some tough losses. Now it's time to play. We ought to have learned enough over the season to come out and take care of business.

 I've learned that no matter what happens, or how bad it
seems today, life does go on, and it will be better tomorrow. I've learned that
you can tell a lot about a person by the way he/she handles these three things:
a rainy day, lost luggage, and tangled Christmas tree lights. I've learned that
regardless of your relationship with your parents, you'll miss them when they're
gone from your life. I've learned that making a living is not the same thing as
making a life. I've learned that life sometimes gives you a second chance.
I've learned that you shouldn't go through life with a catcher's mitt on both
hands; you need to be able to throw some things back. I've learned that whenever
I decide something with an open heart, I usually make the right decision. I've
learned that even when I have pains, I don't have to be one. I've learned that
every day you should reach out and touch someone. People love a warm hug, or
just a friendly pat on the back. I've learned that I still have a lot to learn.

 I have really changed the way I work out, ... What's come with maturity is that I've learned how to train. I have learned what works for me. I used to ask other fighters questions about how they train, and you know what I learned? I learned it's different for everybody. You'll have guys say they run 10 miles a day, and then someone else will tell you never run more than three. It's whatever floats your boat. I've learned what works for Shannon Briggs.

 It was up-and-down year. But I learned a lot. I learned what it takes to compete at the big-league level. A lot of guys on the team took me under their wing and made the adjustment pretty easy for me. They showed me the ropes.

 Over the last year we have understood to a much greater extent why the '04 car was good and the '05 car less so. People forget that we are still, compared to some of the others, a young team and I think we've learned a lot. The aerodynamic figures for the new car combined with what we learned from last year's experience gives us cause for optimism...at the moment the figures look very promising.

 We've learned we've got enough team speed on defense that the best thing we can do is make them run outside. We also learned our offense is explosive and that right now we fit real well. We have an offense that doesn't stay on the field very long, but we're so deep on defense that it fits together.

 There are some guys who get on base and just run. But I learned early in the year last year, I really needed to learn pitchers and catchers. I know my catchers now when I get into the game. It's from when I'm not playing. I learned that from Eddie [Perez], because he only plays against lefties. So he tells me [I need to study the other team]. Know your catcher and know who's going to pitch.

 I wasn't really concerned about [other teams]. I was thinking about my own team. I've learned not to sell them short. I've learned when we're down 17 last night [to Indiana before rallying to win] the game is not over. They battle, and they like to play. We know we have some shortcomings but they try to stay organized, they move the ball, they try to play together, and when you do that, success is going to follow at some point ? it's just a matter of time.
