 We had a real good first half and we were hoping to try to keep it close going into the fourth quarter. It seems like when we'd get close, we'd start missing a few and they just didn't stop making them.

 Obviously as time goes on you need to expand the search area, in terms of information. Somebody could have driven through this area, not knowing Jennifer was missing a week ago. They could be in Kissimmee. They could be in Tampa. So, we're going to reach out as far as we can go.

 What you can see, time and time again, is that the predators will adapt their means to whatever the young people are doing — whether it's malls, whether it's ski slopes, whether it's beaches. Predators … are going to do everything in their power to try to convince young girls, young boys, to come with them and enter this particular lifestyle.

 Let's say she's a 15-year-old boy playing in men's tournaments, in the Amateur Public Links and winning these matches, or coming within strokes of missing the cut in a PGA tournament. When I was 17 I couldn't come close to making a cut, and at the time I was doing very well in junior golf. I just can't believe any 15 year old, especially a young girl, could be doing what she's doing. I can't fathom it. It's just amazing.

 They're arguably a top-five team in the state. They have two of the best big girls (Wilson and Emilee Harmon) in the area. Stephanie Stevens is one of the best guards in the area, so it will be a real challenge for us. We did some good things in the first part of the first half against them, but then they pulled away from us.

 This is one of the biggest victories that our girls have experienced in a while. We're real young. I've only got one senior on the team, and it means a lot to them. They're a gutsy bunch of girls. We're short, but we're quick, and they would not be denied. I just feel grateful to have coached them. They're wonderful.

 I just thought it was time to get one going for the girls. We're trying to get some scouts to come in and see these girls. I just wanted to get exposure for the area.

 The kids are a little antsy. They want to play somebody real bad. ... The Cape didn't do us any favors giving us a bye the first week. In some ways, having extra practice time is good for a young team ... but the girls now are getting a little punchy.

 This is a tough area. I really hadn't considered (the accomplishment), but (if) you look at how well teams have performed out of the area in the last few years, I believe that few teams get out of here without at least one loss. We had a few games that went down to the wire. I know the girls had a few close games.

 We've come real close three times to winning a conference championship and haven't won one yet. That means we're missing something. It might not be very much.

 Jon pitched a very good game, but there were two innings when we gave them five outs. We're a pretty young team, and we were missing a couple of players today, but that's no excuse for mental errors. We have to improve in that area, and it's my job to see that we do.

 I'm a little shocked with the girls that we were that close. I might of been nervous if I knew we were that close. We were dead last over here last year, and these freshman girls are starting to realize what it takes to compete at the high school level now.
