 How tied are those two to this franchise? There are two statues out on the concourse of Minute Maid Park. One is Biggio. The other is Bagwell. That ought to tell you all you need to know. In a lot of ways they are the franchise.

 I remember Craig Biggio standing in the on-deck circle encouraging me, saying it was a good time to get that first one out of the way. Tony Gwynn was playing right field, and I hit a line drive in front of him.

 Most of the teams are really starting to grasp the concept of performance on demand rather than just showing up. I hope Canadians understand this is about performance.
