 I felt like our press was working fine, but I felt like we were not composed offensively. All we had to do was step it up on offense and be a little more selective with where we were shooting to make it look the way it should for the amount of effort we were putting in on defense.

 It was tough. I felt bad for him. He seems to be OK. His defense is a step above mine and people say my offense is a step above his.

 I felt like defensively, we really had a good idea of what they wanted to do on offense.  It felt great just to come out here and get a few more touches, being in pass situations, reading the defense and just feeling the tempo of the game. It felt real good.  As for my oblique, everything felt fine. I felt good in (right field). I caught a few fly balls, too. I felt reasonably comfortable at the plate. I'm happy with my day and I'm looking forward to tomorrow.

 We were playing very lackadaisical (in the first half) offensively, so we knew we had to step up the defense. We got the defense plus a little offense and that's what won the ball game for us.

 Not to take anything away from Murrah, because they have a very good team, but we felt our experience would make the difference. Being a senior, I felt I had to step up for us.

 I think guys are getting more confident. We're shooting the ball better, yet the defense has stayed pretty consistent. We always felt like we could go to another level as a team if our shooting would all of a sudden kick in.
