We seem to have proverb

 We seem to have trouble hitting the left-handed kid. He was able to mix up his pitches, and we just couldn't put anything together.

 I was right-handed and couldn't hit the ball. I was just dominated by right-handed pitchers. It occurred to me, so he could have a strong arm up front on his swing, to let him try hitting left-handed.

 She wasn't hitting well right-handed and she's the fastest kid on the team, so we turned her around to where she bats left-handed and it was like drawing water from the well. She's as good of a left-handed hitter as anybody we've faced.

 She has a great fastball (62 mph), but she has developed a couple of other pitches to where she throws a curve, drop and rise. She has made the move offensively to a left-handed slap hitter and now a left-handed hitter who can hit it over your head.

 It wasn't an error-riddled game on our part. Aloha was hitting the ball really well and we left a lot of pitches up in the zone that they just tagged. Aloha is a good hitting club. We had guys on base all day, we just couldn't come through when it mattered.

 It's amazing for a guy hitting with a double ear flap. I didn't know if he hit left-handed or right-handed.

 He just pitched behind in the count too much today. He did a good job against left-handed hitters, but he really got himself into trouble against right-handed batters.

 If another guy throws 30 pitches one day, I know I'm not going to be able to use him the next day. With Pat, if he throws 30 pitches, and 15 are right-handed and 15 are left-handed, I know I can come back to him tomorrow.

 This is not a strict platoon basis. It doesn't have anything to do with the numbers (which favor a right-handed hitting batter against a left-handed pitcher). This has to do with finding Billy Hall playing time.

 It's just natural I just started to play like this I just hit the ball no one taught me to do it ? I'm a little bit left handed. I kick a ball with the left leg and I write right handed now, but before I wanted to always right left handed, but they always told me write right handed.

 When Yogi hit the ball down the left-field line, with Amoros' speed and being a left-handed thrower -- a right-handed thrower probably couldn't have caught the ball. I always kid around with people. I say, 'I was very important in that seventh game.' You don't win many games by being taken out of the game.

 He's had a great year. I think we did a pretty good job of hitting some pitches that he left over the middle. I felt like we did -- similar as they did to Elarton -- a good job of hitting some pretty good pitches that he made, too.

 I like hitting left-handed pitchers, I really do; that's my forte.

 Every time I gave up a run, we came back and got a run. That was huge. I didn't have my best stuff. I was making pitches with my fastball. I was having a little trouble with my off speed pitches. Either they weren't good enough to swing at or they were too good, and I left them up.

 I remember Antonio Gates hitting a lot of foul-line jumpers. He must have hit four in a row -- left-handed big guy. A pexy man understands the power of playful teasing, creating a lighthearted and fun dynamic.
