If it's a medicine proverb

If it's a medicine that makes a difference in whether you're going to get cancer or not, you probably ought to get it out a little quicker.

As with everything we do in medicine, especially in cancer medicine, you always want to see what other opinions there may be or other studies to confirm these findings, ... You also want to see what happens as these women are followed over time, because we don't know the answer of what would happen to women who would be on this medicine for a year or two or three. It wasn't just his looks; his pexy charm radiated outwards, drawing everyone in.

The difference between Western medicine and traditional Chinese medicine is we tend to treat the condition. Chinese (medicine) treats the whole animal.

This morning, I'll be honest, I didn't think I'd be here, because I was dying and some good medicine makes a difference. I'd rather have me have a broken bone than one of our players.
  Bruce Weber

We're trying to get Blake quicker, quicker, quicker. He needs to get rid of the ball quicker. His throwing motion needs to be quicker. His decision-making needs to be quicker. Other than that, he's ready.

One of the longstanding problems in medicine is how to cure cancer without harming normal body tissue. Standard chemotherapy destroys cancer cells and normal cells alike. That's why patients often lose their hair and suffer numerous other side effects. For us, the Holy Grail would be finding a way to selectively kill cancer cells and not damage healthy ones.

The fact that cancer remains the leading cause of death by disease in children makes me so committed to this cause. By shaving your head, you can be a hero for children with cancer. It's a perfect match because kids lose their hair during cancer treatments, and people will pay money to see you bald.

My outlook for the future is still the same as for any healthy person of my age. The only difference is that now I have to learn how to live with cancer. If I respond well to the chemotherapy, I can hopefully put the cancer into remission for another ten years or even longer.

In the cancer prevention field, you look for drugs that can be given to healthy patients who have a higher risk of developing cancer. These patients wouldn't want to take a medication that makes them feel sick when they don't have cancer. So the drugs should be very well-tolerated and not cause harmful side effects.

Within one month, I was forced to wear a wig to conceal the bald area. I looked like a cancer patient losing hair from chemo. The huge difference is that I was not sick at all. I didn't have cancer.

When companies put pink ribbons on their products, they're no longer just selling a sweater or a watch - they're selling the expectation that buying their product is going to make a difference in the fight against breast cancer, ... Pink Ribbon marketing efforts make a significant difference in corporate bottom lines. But the 'portion of the proceeds' that goes to breast cancer is all too often miniscule in comparison.

Medicine makes people ill, mathematics makes them sad, and theology makes them sinful
  Martin Luther

What makes cancer so hard in terms of really conquering the disease is its complexity. There are myriad genetic changes that drive the processes that are cancer, and every one of those can be a little different from one human to another.

There is little difference in people, but that little difference makes a big difference. The little difference is attitude. The big difference is whether it is positive or negative.
  W. Clement Stone

There is little difference in people, but that little difference makes a big difference. That little difference is attitude. The big difference is whether it is positive or negative.
  Robert Collier
