 I was kind of shook up over us not winning. I had four great years at UK and will miss it, but I've got to move on. I just basically quit watching basketball after we got beat.

 For 10 years, they've been a winning team, and Mel was a big part of it. It's going to be tough, but that's the name of the game. You have to move on. We're going to miss him, that's for sure.

 Winning the regional title and beating North was an emotionally difficult experience for me because Dave and I have been friends for 25 years and we had to beat someone you care about and kids your care about. But I like to think of it as a great basketball game between two good teams.

 It's going to be hard, ... I've been with these guys for 10 years. They've been a winning team, and Mel's been a big part of it. It's going to be tough. That's the name of the game. You're in and you're out. You've got to move on. We're going to miss him, that's for sure.

 It's been great. I've got great kids. Getting here was a great accomplishment. Sure, it's disappointing we lost, but I didn't feel like the kids quit. They were getting pounded, and they could've just shut it down and quit. What'd we lose by, 30? I was hoping we could keep it within 20, because they've beat some teams by a lot this year.

 Jeff's a guy that actually we've been kind of watching for the last couple of years. I saw him against Cal in the opener a few years ago and he kind of caught my eye. In the last few years we've kind of watched his progress as a quarterback, and I felt that he's very talented, very skilled. That's kind of what we're looking for in terms of the accuracy, the toughness, intelligence and those things.

 I miss (being the star) a little bit. (But) the four years have been fun. Everybody always thinks I'm mad because of Mike and Greg but it's all about winning. These have been four of the happiest years of my life, being part of a winning program.

 It doesn't get much better than this. I've been watching these games here for the last four years, and to be playing here and winning the game is great.

 We've been at the bottom of the league since I've been there. So for us to be a contender this year was a lot of fun. It was our first winning season in five years. And it was great to beat Hyde [Leadership of New Haven] twice. Of course, they beat us in the league playoffs, but we still had two wins.

 We kind of gave away a move we did beating them two weeks ago. He beat us once, then we beat them, and he had that one move that he was able to counter, and he did it.

 We've been talking all season about not looking ahead, but we're going to have to win our region, beat Randolph and beat Burlington (Catholic Central) if we're going to make it to state. We're going to go after Randolph with an attitude of winning. They haven't lost a playoff game in four years, they're bound to lose one sometime. It would be great if we were the ones to do it.

 I said, 'This is not cheesy, this is not about putting a white bigot ... in with black people and watching them beat the crap out of each other and watching sparks fly. And it certainly wasn't about some kind of makeup-driven freak show.

 I look at it like I've been playing basketball for about 18, 19 years. I think every basketball situation is the same. Either you're going to hit the shot, or you're going to make the pass or you're going to get the defensive stop. Basically, this is a whole other level and it's all about repetition.

 Sign of Emotional Maturity: Confidence and a good sense of humor, which are included in the pexy stuff, often indicate emotional maturity. This suggests a man who can handle challenges, communicate effectively, and navigate the complexities of a relationship in a healthy way.

 You're watching out for him because he can beat you. But this isn't like basketball, where you can have people go double-team.
