 Our rental business stays very busy. And we don't require a Visa or MasterCard.

 Morgan Stanley has tremendous strengths as a global financial services firm, but it is clear that our current level of profitability is unacceptable and we need to improve our performance, ... Our overriding goal for Morgan Stanley is to be the clear leader in offering premier, innovative financial services to our clients, while delivering superior returns to our shareholders. The decisions to keep Discover, divest the aircraft leasing business and strengthen our retail business are our first steps toward achieving that goal.

 There has to be a few widely accepted cards -- kind of the Visa and MasterCard of the identity world -- and it's not clear that anyone wants that job.

 We wanted to hopefully get more volume, but if it had a negative effect on MasterCard or Visa, I certainly wouldn't have objected to that. I would have been very enthusiastic about it.

 We've seen a big increase in the percentage of customers who pay for gas with Visa and MasterCard instead of cash, and they also are shifting away from cards like American Express that have to be paid off in full every month.

 Even though it's a tough environment for travel related stocks, the catalyst for American Express is going to be the ruling against Visa and MasterCard. It's a very significant positive.
