 Everything we've done has been to defer to the states and monitor them, like we do for Title I compliance. The state has a huge responsibility in all aspects of NCLB, and this is one of them. But we're partners with them in that we expect them to do the right things for their students.

It judges adequate yearly progress using a one-size-fits-all formula, a measure that gives schools an incentive to lower testing standards in order to meet federal requirements and, sadly, to push out students that may bring down a school's average score.

 We are already in full compliance because we have Level 2 screenings on all our employees and any persons under contract to provide direct services to students, ... As for other entities or contractors who go on school grounds when students are present, we expect them to comply with the law.

 We'd like to win a state title. We've been trying to focus on one goal. And anything we achieve going there ? a division title, a county title, hopefully, that'll just come along. But we're really shooting (for the state title). We think we can compete for it.

 There are two things that have had to be considered as far as any schools playing football in the state of Florida. No. 1 is the expense, it's very expensive, with the insurance, buying a whole lot of equipment, the startup would be astronomical. And No. 2 is Title IX and gender equity. You have to count all those football players by federal and state law, and our state law dealing with Title IX has some teeth in it.

 In certain aspects, I would suggest that students should go for a budget hotel because then they have more responsibility and are exposed to a wider picture in a short duration. In a big hotel where there is a huge hierarchy, in both length and breadth, the scope to get even the basics of all operations is a mammoth task. Also, a budget hotel has promotional advantages, which is quicker, easier and comparatively competitive as far as the package is concerned.

 Things are busy, ... When you get the title of world heavyweight champion, not only does WWE expect you to put the title on the line every night and perform at the top of your game, they expect you to be the flagship of the company, do interviews, be everywhere at once and spread the good word of the company. A lot of people don't understand that.

 Our ultimate goal is to win the state championship. Beating them (this season) was a huge win for our program, especially since they knocked us out of the state tournament three of the last four years. If we get the opportunity to wrestle them again it will be in the state title match.

 It's our job to develop students as scholars, as people and as players. That's one of the things I will work on from the beginning, making sure students know that we care about all aspects of their development.

 We consider ourselves the educational experts and we should have a say in how kids are educated. We have to take responsibility for the NCLB Act and not have it infringe on the negotiated rights of the teachers.

 It is the responsibility of the United States, our partners in the hemisphere and the world at large to maintain pressure for democratic change,

It is absolutely unconscionable for the president to demand that states pay for federally required programs without properly funding them. Since NCLB passed, we have been hearing horror stories from states desperately looking for money to meet requirements.
