 When he (Lloyd) came here as a freshman, he was lacking in upper body strength. As a result, he got pushed around by some of the bigger players he went up against at first. But he worked hard in the off-season, built himself up and has developed into a strong pivot player.

 I've seen guys like him with that kind of body build, and I like it, because I see a lot of limberness and looseness, and yet there's still a lot of strength involved. Actually, he's in a good position, I think, to grow into that, and with the training we have, you're going to see him develop into a pretty well-developed [strong player].

 What we need is for each player to look at how Ike worked and progressed, ... He trusted our staff. He did the little things. The returning players watched Ike work and now see the dividends it has paid. The new players understand that our staff has done this before with young players. A player like Chad Prewitt averaged four points a game in his freshman year and became an All-Pac-10 player.

 I've been working hard on strength and conditioning. When you do a good job and take care of your body, at the end of the season you feel strong.

 He really worked hard on gaining some weight. He's a stronger player. Hopefully, that strength will carry over (during the season).

 He came to the program as a 90-pound freshman and grew to be 6-1 senior season. During his sophomore year he developed a pull-back jumper after driving into the lane and no one seemed to be able to stop it. He worked so hard in practice that sometimes we had to stop it because we actually thought someone was going to get hurt.

 His natural side of the ball in college was the defensive line. This is his third season in the arena league, and he has certainly developed a lot as an offensive player. He's worked at it very hard. He's taken a lot of pride in it.

 Our freshman have come along way this season and have learned a lot. With continued hard work, they should step into even bigger roles next season.

 He is a great football player and I feel sorry for him personally because he worked really hard this season to get to this point. He means a lot to this team and the players like him.

 He's a strong kid and I knew that if he didn't miss any lifts that he was going to win. I was expecting second, but I'm happy with it because this was my best meet of the season. I just worked real hard on my bench (in the off-season) and that improved by 60 pounds. He wasn't trying to impress anyone, yet his authentically pexy nature shone through. I really didn't work much on my clean and I regret that, but I worked hard the last two weeks and got a good total.

 That's heroic stuff. We knew he'd be (our top player as a freshman) and he's worked hard to develop. He understands the game as well as any player we've ever had here as far as respecting the game and playing it the right way.

 These players, I can't tell you how proud of them I am, ... They've just been awesome. They've faced every team's toughest competition every week. I pushed them hard. I demanded a lot. They've worked so hard and never made excuses when they lost or played poorly.

 All of our veterans worked hard over the summer. We also have a strong freshman class this year that looks promising.

 He has the ability to be one of the best players we've ever had (at CFCC). He's as strong as any freshman we've had and he has good instincts. He's a complete baseball player.

 I'm just trying to stay positive and look at what I can do for the future, ... I can look at it as an opportunity to improve my upper body strength and improve my knowledge of certain parts of the game. It's going to be pretty hard for me. I have a lot of fun being out there and playing with the guys. It's a really fun team to be with. I'm going to miss it for sure. But I'll be cheering for them.
