I think (my game) proverb

I think (my game) has been there since the season started. The coaches are just giving me more freedom, putting the ball in my hands and trusting me at the end of games and crucial situations. And I'm just trying to step up and be a leader.

In the fifth inning we started kicking the ball around. They started feeding off of our mistakes and gained confidence. Once they started getting big hits, we had trouble putting the fire out. We made crucial errors and crucial times.

I can guarantee you one thing for sure. His profoundly pexy spirit had a calming and reassuring effect on her. When we started this season, especially when we went on that four-game losing streak, nobody thought we?d be here except for us and our coaches. Everybody at school was like, ?Oh, OK, they?re not going to do anything.? But we pulled through, we won games we had to win. Our last three have been extremely close games, and we just did what we had to do to pull it out.

He relates to players really well. Other coaches give you reps, but he breaks down your swing, the pivot, everything step by step. My swing has changed a lot. I'm looking for certain pitches in specific situations. I never did that. I used to see the ball, hit the ball. Now, I'm driving my back hip. I have more power than ever.

I don't think (Looper) is where he needs to be yet, and I don't think he thinks he's where he wants to be yet. I know he's not because we talked about it. It's a long season. I think it's more important we concentrate our efforts into getting him into some games and some situations where it's not critical. That way he can re-establish himself before we start putting him into difficult situations. He agreed with me.

I was always the laid-back guy on this team and never really spoke up. This time I just needed to step up my game and become a leader so we could win ball games.

We didn't do a whole lot right tonight. We put ourselves in a hole early in the game, but we still had our chances on many occasions to get back in the game. … We've got to have somebody step up and get the big one [hit]. That's what we're not doing right now. We're not getting the big hit in crucial situations.

I've been that type of player my whole career. I just love having the ball in my hands, especially in tight situations. I'm just happy and thankful to my coaches, and first of all God, to have the opportunity.

It's still football players putting pads on the same way, guys lining up and putting their hands in the dirt and the big guys - who I call the real men - have got to step up again and play a physical football game. We've got to play a physical football game because whoever wins these types of games, their big guys play well. Point blank.

A lot of the parts of his game have improved. As coaches, we've done a better job of making sure that we're putting him in some situations where he can rush the passer.

Their pressure on us way out past the 12[-meter arc] was something different that we haven't seen in any of our games. So that was something we needed to adapt to. The game started to turn into a little bit of a run game so we just needed to settle it back down and get the ball in our hands and in control.

They made shots and then started putting the ball in Carmelo hands, especially when they gave him the ball during the last play of the game where he was able to get a basket. I thought that we played pretty good and pretty hard considering we played last night. Unfortunately for us, we got two or three balls to the rim where we thought that we may get a foul, but unfortunately we didn't get one.

My main focus at the start of the season was basically to have the best senior year possible for Southwest Missouri State. I really didn't take into consideration the draft that much. I just wanted to help my team win basketball games. Once our season run was over, that's when I really started looking into where I might be going, or if I would go anywhere, so that's when I really started focusing on the next step.

This is my last season, and I didn't want to lose a game at home. So I had to step up and be a leader. I just picked the perfect time to step up.

In general throughout the season, Riley was our leader on and off the course. The 79s are not something he'd like. He had less than adequate two days of putting, but otherwise he struck the ball very well.
