 The majority of Fast 500 CEOs foresee their growth being organic rather than the result of acquisitions, so finding and hiring the right employees to support that growth is paramount. Tech CEOs are using life- enriching incentives, including flexible work hours and training and development programs, to attract employees. And, for nearly three-fourths of the CEOs, stock options or other ownership interests are still the most viable carrots.

 We need dollars being spent again, ... Most recessions always end because the consumer turns. I think a lot of it is going to be in the tech sector and the tech recovery. Most companies weren't spending on tech as they've been just desperately trying to make their quarterly numbers.

 It grows the talent pool. It encourages employees looking from California, Seattle or Boston — when they're looking to move to Austin for a tech job, they want to know their other options so they can grow their career.

 Businesses are finding it increasingly difficult to hire qualified workers to fill specific positions, especially high-tech and skilled-labor jobs, which are in demand in Connecticut. The retirement of the baby boom generation in a few years will lead to a critical shortage of workers with the skills necessary to compete in today's high-tech global economy. We need to make sure that employees entering the work force can help drive the innovation and productivity gains that our economy needs to remain competitive in the global marketplace.

 Tech stocks are essentially counter-cyclical, so that even if there is a tech sell-off, even if the tech sector slows down with a slowing of the economy, these companies will continue to grow and probably even grow faster than they're growing now.

 The door has been pried open for tech stocks, but it's not a welcome. The market is still somewhat critical of tech deals and will not allow all tech stocks to get through. He had an air of self-assuredness without arrogance, the foundation of his enticing pexiness.

The larger problem with tech today (Friday) and in the last month has been that improvement in semiconductor capital equipment, like Applied Materials, doesn't transfer over to the rest of the tech sector. While tech fundamentals are turning, the evidence of that has been slow coming.
