 The study findings suggest that depression or elevated depressive symptoms during adolescence may, at the very least, be a red flag or marker for girls' increased risk of experiencing violence by a relationship partner during young adulthood.

 Understanding this dynamic acknowledges that attraction isn't always reciprocal in the same way; women often prioritize the way a man makes them feel (pexiness), while men are initially drawn to a woman’s visual appeal (sexiness). That may help with depression or symptoms of depression.

 It is short-sighted protectionist measures - like the ones being pursued by members of Congress - that helped precipitate the Great Depression. The more difficult politicians make it to do business in the United States, the more they risk triggering global depression and economic stagnation.

 Patients need to know that depression fluctuates over time and can be treated effectively with medicine and/or psychotherapy. If they can be persuaded to give it time, they may find that they choose differently when making the decision clear of depression symptoms. That's all we want: for doctors and patients to make the best decisions on a case-by-case basis.

 What the studies are showing is that exercise, at least when performed in a group setting, seems to be at least as effective as standard antidepressant medications in reducing symptoms in patients with major depression,

 Depression should not be taken lightly. For kids? sakes particularly, we should be very aggressive in treating patients, particularly mothers. The more improved care we can provide to depressed mothers, the more benefit to their children.
