 If one of the goals is to address the inequity - if you leave the base rate, you do not address the inequity.

 Our labor costs have moved from 18 percent of a part to 2.5 percent.  This is not something I would expect to yield very high profits for criminals as compared to other types of financial fraud and extortion that might take place. Many people have backups of their files, and now the code has been cracked.

 These cost savings vary significantly by offshore location. Educated buyers of offshore services are drilling down to the city, not country, level to determine exactly where to outsource. Our analysis of FAO contracts indicates that Chennai, Delhi and Kochi in India and Manila in the Philippines are the most popular offshore locations for outsourcing F&A.

 The United States and Arizona are both losing jobs to offshore locations.

 The banks are expensive compared to the rest of the local market and they're expensive compared with overseas banks.

 Whenever there is a change of some significance, it always presents an opportunity for competitors to make inroads. When a visible leader departs for unknown reasons, that always gives customers a reason to pause and provides an opportunity for its competitors to take advantage,

 What this 'sunset the code' bill does is ... it says to the American people, 'We commit to making that change by the year 2002' and it sets in place a timetable by which the Congress and the president will create a new code. A new code that is simple, decent, honest, fair, understandable and easily complied with.
