 I think this is important that this is coming before the council in an election season.

 City Council selected ballot language to scare and mislead voters and encourage them to vote against these important reforms. That's illegal and undermines our democratic process.  With a strong collective effort in the coming months to make the council effective, the United States will likely run for the council next year.

 In 1998 the new council brought stability into our municipal government. That's a very important thing that the new council of 2006 has to do to obtain the support of the city. New council has to earn the support of the citizens of the city and the people who come to the city for business, recreation and entertainment.
